Le Grand Atelier is the creative heart of Balbosté : a multidisciplinary culinary hub imagined as a space where gastronomy, design and craftsmanship constantly interact.

Conceived as both a professional R&D and production laboratory, a design office, and a reception space for private dinners, meetings and creative encounters, Le Grand Atelier reflects the way we work: collaboratively, experimentally and across disciplines.

Designed to encourage exchanges between chefs, designers, artisans, artists and brands, the space allows ideas to evolve freely between creation and production. From culinary research to scenography development, object design and prototyping, every project can be imagined, tested and refined under the same roof.

The identity of the place was shaped through the contribution of numerous artists and craftsmen whose practices and sensibilities helped define its atmosphere: Cédric Breisacher designed part of the furniture, Manu Bano created the suspended lamp above the counter, while Tom Ducarouge imagined an installation paying tribute to culinary tools and kitchen utensils.

Martin Blanchard designed a suspended metallic shelving structure, while Moon Seop explored light, water and movement through his work. Shota Suzuki created a poetic dandelion sculpture, and Peppie Erdbories contributed a series of handcrafted letters integrated into the space.
